Jocelyn Robson – Treasurer

I have lived in Melbourn since 2006, initially attracted by the local architecture, wealth of facilities (a village with its own gym?!) and convenient train service into London.
I live on the High Street with my husband and two sons, currently aged 3 and 1. My eldest goes to Little Hands nursery.
I studied philosophy, politics and economics at Merton College, Oxford, before training to become a chartered accountant with Deloitte & Touche, and now work as the finance director and HR manager for a small publishing company in London.
I have worked on the Parish Council since 2007, and in 2008 joined both the committee of the Trigg Charity Trust and the Melbourn & District Villages Association, which runs the Melbourn Library Access Point.
I am keen to see Melbourn get a village plan as I think it will not only provide a sense of direction to those bodies making decisions on our behalf, but also improve funding opportunities for any exciting projects identified. I believe the process alone will also enhance the sense of community which Melbourn, most likely due to its size, sometimes struggles to maintain.
