Melbourn Village Plan progress

A BIG THANK YOU to all the volunteer distributors/collectors for the sterling work over the past six or so weeks, the response level is beyond our hopes and expectations!
Your patience and persistence has given us around a 50% return from the village residents, this has to be confirmed but it is an exceptional result. Even more encouraging are the additional number of residents prepared to volunteer for involvement in future activity for the village, we will be contacting you all shortly to keep you up to date.
We hope you all enjoyed your experience (I know several of you have ‘tales to tell’) and that the good weather benefited suntans and leg muscles, you may even have made some new friends or acquaintances!
The returned questionnaires are now on their way to a professional assessment firm, we anticipate information back in two months or so. There are further questionnaires to be done for specific activities within the village, for example, businesses so watch this space for further information on these.
A brilliant effort by you all, thank you once again.
If perchance you missed one of our collectors or have been on holiday but still want to participate, there are LAST MINUTE COLLECTION boxes in the Post Office or the Co-Op store, please use these, they will be collected on 1st September.

MVP logo competition

Well done to everyone who entered the Melbourn Village Plan Logo Competition. There was not an outright winner but everyone who entered will receive a certificate of entry. If contact details were given the certificate will be sent to this address or if the entry was submitted through a school, club or playscheme it will be delivered there after the beginning of the autumn term.
Do please try again next time!
Thank you.

The Like – Dislike Survey! – 2/01/2010

A Great Response From The Like – Dislike Survey!

The Autumn Issue of the Melbourn Magazine included leaflets for residents to return and “Have their Say”.

Huge numbers of completed leaflets were returned carrying a host of ideas and comments. The comments included both things that were good about living in Melbourn and some that were perhaps less good. All of this information is vital to the development of the Melbourn Village Plan. A big “Thank You” to all who contributed.

Village Plan update – 6/07/2009

The people of Melbourn have started to voice their opinions about their village and to suggest ways in which it might be improved.

So far, top of the things people value is the shopping in the village, most notably the Co-op, Leeches and the new Post Office.  In second place are the green spaces, especially Stockbridge Meadows, which was officially opened last weekend.
