A planning application has been received from South Cambs District Council for the building of 13 houses and a Community Building on the former Police site in the High Street.
Plans are available to view until 16th April at the Parish Office during office hours on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. During Easter week the office will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The decision that has been made by Melbourn Parish Council
Following an analysis of the responses from a rigorous resident consultation exercise, which extended to every household in the village, Melbourn Parish Council unanimously agreed to commence immediately a project to provide the village with a Community Hub located at the old Police site.
The Community Hub will be built on the old Police site in the centre of the village by Iceni Homes for Hundred Houses Society, who will also build affordable housing on this same site.
Detailed report
A detailed report containing this recommendation was presented to the Parish Council for their consideration prior to making this decision. The report records the background to the consultation exercise, describes how the consultation process was carried out, records and comments on the results, and recommends a course of action. The report also includes the information from the survey results for the Melbourn Village Plan that factored in the decision. Outline plans for the building are also included in the report. A copy of this report is available at the Parish Office and Library or as a download.
