The Melbourn History Group have accumulated an excellent collection of photographs, the earliest dating back to 1865. Used for the Melbourn history book A glimpse into Melbourn’s past and the photographic book, they show the village in days gone by up to the 1950s. As with Pictorial Melbourn, they take you through the village from the Royston end along the High Street, taking detours along the many side roads and lanes to the Cambridge end of the village.
