Facilities

The main hall can accommodate up to 80 people in auditorium layout depending on the space required by the presenters.  Also, a separate meeting room can accommodate about 10 people in conference layout.  Chairs and tables are available to provide a variety of different layouts and examples of these are shown in the Rules & Guidance for Hall Users.

The kitchen has extensive work tops with built in dishwasher, fridge, microwave, oven and hob.  There are cupboards containing basic crockery and cutlery.  For any culinary activity other than ‘tea and biscuits’, the hirer may need to provide the cooking utensils and must take full responsibility for the statutory requirements for food preparation.  The water is processed through a water softener and one cold tap in the kitchen is marked as suitable for drinking water.

Heating is provided by under floor heating in the main hall and radiators elsewhere.  The heating is controlled automatically based on the dates and times booked by the users.

The windows have curtains and blinds to provide privacy and subdued lighting if required.  A built in screen is provided to enable the viewing of projected images.

There is access and egress suitable for disabled persons throughout, including a ramped or level access, reserved parking and toilet facilities.  A purpose made baby changing facility is also available.
